Herringbone Tile Pattern

A herringbone pattern is created using equal-size rectangles, arranged in a staggered zig-zag design. The herringbone tile pattern enables you to create an intricate-looking design with one tile shape and size. You can use tile of all the same color, change colors in a stripe, create an ombré effect, or mix colors randomly. The herringbone pattern creates a V-shaped zigzag by placing rectangular tiles in alternating 45 degree angles. The difference between the herringbone pattern and the chevron pattern lies in the zigzag — the chevron zigzag aligns tiles with angled ends.
